Maintenance Tips for Microfibers
Microfibers are very easy to maintain, they can be machine-washed at low temperatures. To maintain their natural look, just use a soft brush. Stains are easy to remove from microfiber: the table below provides instructions on the procedure to follow.
ALCOHOL, LIQUEUR:
Make a shampoo with water and neutral soap, then pat dry with diluted denatured alcohol (10-20%).
DRINKS, WINE:
Pat dry with water and vinegar (50 %), then with a shampoo of water and neutral soap.
BALLPOINT:
Pat dry with perchlorethilene.
BEER:
Dab with lukewarm water (max 40°C) to which you add 3 % denatured alcohol.
COFFEE, TEA, MILK:
Make a shampoo with water and neutral soap. If stains persist, clean with diluted ammonia (10 %).
CHOCOLATE:
Dab with lukewarm water (max 40°C) or with diluted ammonia (5 %).
PAINT:
Make a shampoo with water and neutral soap; For old stains, turn to an expert.
COSMETICS:
Generally, a shampoo of water and neutral soap should be sufficient. If stains persist, use diluted ammonia (5%) or perchlorethilene. Under no circumstance should you use acetone or other nail polish removers.
VEGETABLES, GRASS:
Dab with lukewarm water (max 40°C), then with a shampoo of water and neutral soap.
CHEWING GUM:
Clean with perchlorethilene.
INK:
Absorb as much as possible with blotting paper or kitchen roll and dab with diluted denatured alcohol (20%), then make a shampoo of water and neutral soap. In some cases lemon juice can also give excellent results. If stains persist, it is advisable to turn to a specialist.
SHOE POLISH:
Clean with perchlorethilene.
JAM, FRUIT JUICE:
Dab with lukewarm water (max 40°C). If the stain persists, clean with perchlorethilene.
OIL AND FAT STAINS:
Dry cleaner’s.
